Thus, debates go around key topics for Africa agricultural development such as:
• Impacts of climate change on Africa agriculture and possible solutions like climate smart agriculture, climate smart villages, etc.
• Agricultural innovation in Africa; Innovations suggested or adopted, etc.The objective is that Africa can feed Africa on its own.
• ICT role in the revitalization of the agricultural sector in Africa.
• Women and youth involvement in design and implementation of policies and strategies for agricultural development in Africa.
Main lessons learned from ACED BENIN participation to AASW6
Africa can feed Africa but it requires that certain conditions are met:
• Investment in agriculture must be a reality in Africa;
• Effective innovations must be developed through research;
• Women and youth should be really involved in agricultural development initiatives;
• ICT must be integrated into research innovations and agricultural development.
