2016, the third year of ACED’s Strategic Plan, was filled out with activities and achievements.

Local actors remain at the center of our actions especially market gardeners of Sô-Ava who are supported by the Centre in their fight against water hyacinth proliferation and the increase of their incomes. The centre continues its collaboration with inland fishermen communities for the improvement of their resilience to water resources degradation and overfishing. A new project has been launched to support the development of allotment gardens for improving urban food security.

Furthermore, the Centre has been rewarded by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) through FICAD Award and with funding to support a project on youth implication in agribusiness.

ACED will continue its collaboration with smallholder farmers and agricultural vulnerable communities and work to strengthen and expand its partnerships.
